Contracts to manage plants for 15 years The Namami Gange programme, or National Mission for Clean Ganga, has awarded contracts to set up to sewage treatment plants, each of 68 million litre a day (MLD) at Haridwar and one 15 MLD STP at Varanasi.
Central government to provide 100% funding for projects The central government has approved 26 Sewage Treatment Projects worth Rs.2,154.28 crore in UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Delhi under the Namami Gange Programme or National Mission for Clean Ganga.
